Just me taking pizza from Jim Lee. No big.

(at the launch of Justice League #1 and Flashpoint #5 at Midtown Comics on Monday night)

I have complete faith that one day Natalie and Jim Lee will look back on this picture at some swanky Vertigo party and go, “Hey, remember when?”

Because we will no doubt need to talk about DR sometimes, and because level ground just looks nicer.

In order for me to talk meaningfully about roleplaying here—which I intend to do, at some point, maybe hopefully—we’re gonna have to share an understanding about a LARP called Dystopia Rising. If you are anywhere in the area of Sparta, NJ and have ever loved, feared, hated, or snuggled a zombie, man, this is your game. You might be like, “Oh, whatever, it’s a zombie game, NERF guns, fake blood, seen it all before,” and if this were any other zombie game, maybe you’d be right. But nope, you are mistaken, hypothetical reader, because this is the game where a priest who follows Bruce Springsteen as his religion and a thinking zombie doctor and a neo-communist and a good ol’ boy can all fight under the same banner. The world here is what’s important, and for us to really go back and forth about DR, it’s critical that you at least have the gist.

So, culture-smashing zombie playland of psychological and physiological terror. That, amigos and amigas, is square one.

How do I shot tumblr?

This is my first post here and I figure we should get to know one another. So, hi! I’m Josh Harrison. If you Google Image Search me you will get a lot of pictures of Canadian teenagers. This is because I write for Ology.com, an entertainment website written by and for <strike>Canadian teenager</strike>s the Millennial generation. Ology.com does not like to take pictures of me but here is one, in case you are a face-to-name kind of person.

I am awful at Halo.

I am also trying to write tabletop roleplaying games, webcomics, plays, and YA novels. Most of the stuff here will be about those things! Some of it will probably be about work, too. And then some of it will be about other stuff. Chances are good that if you are here for the geeky stuff, you will be sort of “OK, whatever,” about the YA stuff, or what have you, but keep at it. That’s what I’m doing and it’s worked out OK so far.

Basically I’m here going, “So, awesome, tumblr! Now what?” Experienced tumblr users please… comment? Follow? Do whatever it is that people do here to folks they want to help out, please and thank you.
